This beautiful client was going through chemotherapy. She was just starting to thin out in her brows and was worried about losing her features. Your eyebrows play a very important role in one’s appearance. By having them tattooed, this gave her a more “awake” appearance. More color to her face, and gave back her features. You can certainly also draw on your own. But for some, it’s difficult to land them where your natural brow should be - once you’ve lost them. By having them tattooed it takes away a struggle. There is a right time and not a right time to have this procedure done. This would be discussed during a consultation. A touch up is included around 6-8 weeks (not to worry, we will work around that depending on your treatment schedule) $350 for microblading only, or $375 with shading as well for this service including your initial touch up. The ink used is MRI safe. And don’t worry, I won’t give you Friday night eyebrows for a Sunday morning ;)
Maybe you just have thinner brows from too much tweezing, health issues, or menopause. Have them filled in for added density. Show off your beautiful eyes.
Not always, but sometimes our brows and lashes thin or completely fall out later on in treatment. This does not usually happen the same time as when you start to lose your hair. Hair is a fast growing. Eyebrows and eyelashes are slower growing. Treatment can affect them differently. You can use eyeliner if you've lost your eyelashes to give an illusion.
But eyebrows? Sometimes it looks and feels like there is no structure to your face when you start to lose them. Eyebrows “stop your face” They give definition and help give back some features. Above is a couple of clients that had them tattooed/ micro bladed and shaded just before they lost them all. Please keep in mind- when they are tattooed, they WILL lighten up a little (like a fresh hair color can after a couple washes) from how they look initially. You would need a touch up usually done around 8 weeks after the first session (this would obviously be worked around when your treatments are scheduled) Don’t let the word “tattoo” scare you. Microblading is no deeper than a paper cut. (numbing cream is used to keep you comfortable) This service is only preformed when your immune system is normal. So sometimes your initial/touch up appointment is done before you start treatment, or after a couple of treatments. If you are getting chemo every 3 weeks and its on a Friday- you would have the service done either Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday. That’s the window (as long as your oncologist is in agreement) If you can’t get your touch up until after treatments are over that’s ok too. At least the base and guide is there if you do lose your eyebrows. Then you’re not struggling trying to figure out where to draw them in.
If you would rather not go that route these Eyebrow Powder kits ( as seen beside) are great too! The kit includes the powder (which is pretty smudge proof!) 6 brow shape stencils and 2 brushes. You'll see in the Boutique there are a variety of colors to suit your needs. The more you practice the easier it gets. And keep in mind brows just have to be sisters not twins =) Brow kits are available for purchase with different colour options in the Boutique.
This can be frustrating but maybe easier to address then losing your eyebrows. When we lose the "line " of our lashes on our eyelids, it can look like we have 2 white onions for eyes. For day to day wear using waterproof or smudge proof eyeliner works wonders in giving an illusion that there are lashes there . I suggest waterproof because often your eyes can be watery and then your eyeliner starts sliding down your face and that’s never a good look on anyone =D But if you would like to wear actual lashes these are great as they are magnetic. So you don't need to have existing lashes to connect to. These are available for purchase in the Boutique.
